Jindal Stainless has marked its strategic entry into the retail construction market with the launch of its ‘Jindal Infinity’ stainless steel rebars. Initially rolling out in Amritsar, Punjab, the product offers superior corrosion resistance, high tensile strength, and increased lifecycle value compared to conventional alternatives. The company intends to expand this distribution footprint across Haryana and Andhra Pradesh within the next six to twelve months, aiming for a pan-India presence.
Strategic Expansion into Retail
Jindal Stainless has officially entered the retail construction segment with its high-performance ‘Jindal Infinity’ stainless steel rebars. The launch, announced on April 18, 2026, represents a strategic shift toward bringing advanced, durable construction materials directly to end-consumers. The initial rollout is supported by a network of approximately 20 partners across Punjab, with upcoming plans to scale operations into Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh.
Benefits of Stainless Steel Rebars
Designed for longevity, these rebars address critical infrastructure challenges such as corrosion in aggressive environments. Key technical advantages include higher critical chloride thresholds, superior seismic performance, and enhanced fire resistance. According to the company, these rebars offer a service life exceeding twice that of conventional options, providing significant long-term lifecycle value and reduced maintenance requirements for infrastructure, real estate, and coastal projects.
Future Growth and Sustainability
As part of its growth trajectory, Jindal Stainless reported an annual turnover of INR 40,182 crore (USD 4.75 billion) for FY25. The company is actively scaling its manufacturing capabilities to reach a melt capacity of 4.2 million tonnes by FY27. By integrating its sustainable production process—utilizing electric arc furnaces to reduce greenhouse gas emissions—Jindal Stainless aims to set a new standard for resilient and future-ready construction practices across India.
