Bandhan Bank has announced the re-appointment of several key senior management personnel following its Board meeting on September 5, 2026. Mr. Rajinder Kumar Babbar has been recommended for re-appointment as Executive Director & Chief Business Officer for three years, subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. Additionally, Mr. Amitava Goswami’s tenure as Chief Compliance Officer and Mr. Sandip Kumar Bubna’s interim role as Chief Audit Executive have been extended.
Bandhan Bank Board Approves Senior Management Re-appointments
Bandhan Bank Limited’s Board of Directors, in a meeting held on September 5, 2026, has approved the re-appointment of several key senior management personnel. These decisions are based on recommendations from the Nomination and Remuneration Committee (‘NRC’) and the Audit Committee of the Board (‘ACB’).
Executive Director & Chief Business Officer Re-appointment
The Board has recommended to the Reserve Bank of India (‘RBI’) the re-appointment of Mr. Rajinder Kumar Babbar (DIN: 10540386) as a Whole-time Director. He will continue to serve as the Executive Director and Chief Business Officer, a Key Managerial Personnel, for a further period of 3 years. This re-appointment is proposed to be effective from March 08, 2027. The re-appointment is contingent upon the approvals from the RBI and the Bank’s shareholders. Mr. Babbar is not related to any other Directors and is not disqualified from holding office.
Chief Compliance Officer Extended Tenure
Following recommendations from the NRC and ACB, the Board has approved the re-appointment of Mr. Amitava Goswami as the Chief Compliance Officer (‘CCO’) of the Bank. His tenure has been extended for a further period of three years, effective from November 29, 2026.
Chief Audit Executive Interim Role Extended
In continuation of a previous communication, the Board has approved an extension for Mr. Sandip Kumar Bubna as the interim Chief Audit Executive (‘CAE’)/ Head of Internal Audit (‘HIA’). This extension is for a period of four months, concluding on February 26, 2027, or until a new CAE/HIA is appointed, whichever is earlier.
New Chief of Internal Vigilance Appointed
Furthermore, the Board has approved the appointment of Mr. Nitin Arora as the new Chief of Internal Vigilance (‘CIV’) of the Bank. This appointment is for a period of 3 years, effective from his joining date, which is September 22, 2026. Consequently, Mr. Prakash E will cease to be the Interim CIV upon Mr. Arora’s joining.
