Meera Industries reported its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026. The company experienced a 5.1% decrease in consolidated revenue, amounting to ₹3,783.21 lakhs, compared to the previous year. Profitability saw a significant moderation, with profit after tax declining by 73.6% to ₹98.42 lakhs. This decline was primarily attributed to reduced revenue in the Machine Division, losses during the Plastic Division’s scale-up, and increased finance costs.
Meera Industries Reports FY26 Financial Performance
Meera Industries Limited has announced its financial results for the year ended March 31, 2026. The company reported a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹3,783.21 lakhs, a decrease of 5.1% from ₹3,984.93 lakhs in FY 2024-25. Profit after tax for the period stood at ₹98.42 lakhs, a significant decrease of 73.6% from ₹372.18 lakhs in the previous year.
Key Factors Affecting Profitability
The reduction in profitability was mainly driven by a decline in revenue from the Machine Division, which decreased by 26.7% to ₹2,260.52 lakhs. This was partially offset by an increase in Plastic Division revenue, which grew by 69.1% to ₹1,522.68 lakhs. However, the Plastic Division reported a segment loss of ₹191.88 lakhs, indicating that the business is still in its early stages of achieving optimal utilization and cost absorption.
Furthermore, finance costs increased materially to ₹83.47 lakhs from ₹22.23 lakhs, reflecting the funding requirements associated with the expanded operating base. While other income saw an increase to ₹88.28 lakhs, it was insufficient to offset the decline in operating profitability and higher finance costs.
Shareholder Value and Future Outlook
The company’s focus remains on rebuilding operating margins and improving asset productivity to restore returns. Management’s priorities include improving order conversion, deepening exports, and strengthening the Machine Division. In the Plastic Division, the focus is on improving utilization, yield, and product mix to achieve sustainable returns. The company’s strong cash generation from operating activities and reduced borrowings have preserved financial flexibility for future growth.
