Ajanta Pharma: Q1 FY27 Revenue Up 25%, Declares ₹32 Interim Dividend

The company also reported a 31% increase in profit after tax to ₹334 crore. Strong Financial Performance in Q1 FY2027

Ajanta Pharma has reported an impressive financial performance for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026. Revenue from operations saw a significant jump of 25%, reaching ₹1,626 crore compared to ₹1,303 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Profit after tax also demonstrated strong growth, increasing by 31% to ₹334 crore from ₹255 crore year-on-year. Adjusted EBITDA (excluding forex loss) grew by 21% to ₹454 crore.

Interim Dividend Approved

In line with its commitment to shareholder returns, the Board of Directors has approved the payment of a 1st interim dividend of ₹32 per equity share for the financial year 2026-27. This dividend is on a face value of ₹2 per share and is expected to amount to approximately ₹400 crore. The company has fixed Wednesday, August 5, 2026, as the record date for determining the entitlement of shareholders for this dividend. The dividend will be paid on or after August 18, 2026.

Segmental Performance Highlights

The company’s performance highlights for Q1 FY2027 include notable growth across various segments. Branded Generics revenue stood at ₹1,059 crore, a 13% increase year-on-year. US Generics revenue grew substantially by 57% to ₹487 crore. Africa Institution reported an 83% growth, reaching ₹70 crore. The overall consolidated sales for the quarter were ₹1,616 crore, up 25%.

Ajanta Pharma continues to demonstrate strong market presence, with its India branded generic performance exceeding IPM growth by 36%. The company highlighted its leadership in key therapeutic areas and a robust product pipeline.
