Advanced Enzyme Technologies: Approves ₹697 Crore Buyback and Strategic Acquisitions

Advanced Enzyme Technologies has announced a significant board meeting outcome on August 8, 2026. Key decisions include the approval of an un-audited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. More notably, the company approved a substantial buyback of its equity shares up to ₹697 crore at a price not exceeding ₹500 per share. Additionally, it approved the acquisition of the remaining stake in JC Biotech Private Limited to make it a wholly-owned subsidiary and the infusion of funds into Advanced Nutrazyme Private Limited.

Board Approves Major Corporate Actions

In a significant announcement dated August 8, 2026, Advanced Enzyme Technologies Limited disclosed several key decisions made during its Board of Directors meeting. The board has approved the un-audited financial results (standalone and consolidated) for the quarter ended June 30, 2026.

Significant Share Buyback Program

A major highlight of the meeting was the approval of a buyback of fully paid-up equity shares. The company plans to repurchase shares with a face value of ₹2 each, at a price not exceeding ₹500 per equity share. The aggregate amount for the buyback is capped at ₹697,000,000 (₹697 crore). This buyback will be conducted through the ‘Open Market’ route on the stock exchanges, in compliance with SEBI regulations. The indicative maximum number of shares to be bought back is 1,394,000 shares, representing approximately 1.24% of the existing paid-up equity capital. This buyback size represents 9.99% and 5.09% of the total paid-up equity share capital and free reserves, based on the latest audited standalone and consolidated financial statements.

Strategic Acquisitions and Fund Infusion

The Board also approved the acquisition of the remaining 4.28% equity stake in JC Biotech Private Limited (‘JCB’) from its other existing shareholders. Upon completion, JCB will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Advanced Enzyme Technologies. Furthermore, the company approved the infusion of additional funds, not exceeding ₹20 million, into Advanced Nutrazyme Private Limited (‘ANPL’), which is also a wholly-owned subsidiary. This infusion will be by way of equity investment or inter-corporate deposit to support ANPL’s business operations.
