Whirlpool of India reported a 12% year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue from operations for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, reaching ₹2,727 crore. This growth was attributed to market share gains in the refrigerator and washer segments, industry volume growth, and strategic price increases. The company also highlighted its number two position in the MBO volume market share for combined refrigerators and washers.
Whirlpool of India Reports Strong Q1 Performance
Whirlpool of India Limited has announced a robust performance for the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, with consolidated revenue from operations growing by 12% year-on-year to ₹2,727 crore. The period concluded on June 30, 2026.
Key Growth Drivers
The revenue growth was propelled by several factors including increased market share in both the refrigerator and washer categories, overall industry volume expansion, the impact of recent price adjustments, and a continued focus on premiumisation of its product portfolio. Whirlpool of India continues to hold its position as the second-largest player in the multi-brand outlet (MBO) volume market share for combined refrigerators and washers. Furthermore, the company maintains the number one position in MBO volume market share for direct-cool refrigerators.
Operational Achievements
The company’s manufacturing facility in Faridabad achieved record quarterly volumes, demonstrating operational resilience amidst challenging war-led supply chain disruptions. This was made possible through dedicated efforts from the supply chain teams to ensure seamless operations.
Profitability and Subsidiary Performance
Consolidated Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at ₹139 crore, representing a 29% decrease year-on-year. Consolidated Profit After Tax (PAT) was ₹103 crore. Profits for the quarter were impacted by significant commodity inflation driven by geopolitical instability, rising crude oil prices, currency depreciation, and cost increases due to new energy regulations. The company partially mitigated these impacts through price increases and cost-saving initiatives under its P4G program.
Elica India, a subsidiary of Whirlpool of India, demonstrated strong growth, with revenue increasing by 26% and PBT improving by 22% in the first quarter of FY 26-27.
