Uno Minda Limited has announced the appointment of Mr. Vivek Shripad Joshi as the Chief Executive Officer for its Light Metal and Powertrain Systems (LPS) domain, effective April 19, 2026. Mr. Joshi brings over 28 years of extensive experience in the global automotive manufacturing sector. This leadership change is part of a structured transition plan to ensure operational continuity and sustained growth within the organization.

Uno Minda Limited has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of Mr. Vivek Shripad Joshi as the CEO of the LPS domain. Mr. Joshi is a seasoned business leader recognized for his expertise in large-scale business transformation and for fostering globally competitive organizations. His appointment is effective from April 19, 2026.
Planned Transition Process
To ensure a seamless handover, the company has initiated a structured leadership transition. Mr. Kundan Kumar Jha, the outgoing CEO of the LPS domain, will continue to lead business operations for the first three months following the appointment. During this period, Mr. Joshi will focus on integrating with the company’s business processes and gaining a deep understanding of operations. Following this, Mr. Joshi will assume full responsibility for domain performance and the delivery of agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), while Mr. Jha will move into a strategic role to continue supporting the organization.
Expertise and Professional Background
Mr. Joshi brings a wealth of knowledge to the role, with a strategic focus on lean, green, and connected manufacturing underpinned by Total Quality Management (TQM) philosophies. His leadership background includes tenure at prominent industry organizations such as Sundaram Clayton Limited, Ryobi Die Casting (USA), Endurance Technologies, and Jayahind Industries.
He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgy from the College of Engineering, Pune, a Master of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University, and an MBA from Indiana Tech University. Additionally, he is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
