Key Financial Highlights
The net profit for the quarter reached ₹28,948 million, indicating a healthy increase in profitability. The company’s EBITDA stood at ₹44,177 million, with an EBITDA margin of 28.9%. Adjusted net profit was reported at ₹30,894 million, reflecting a growth of 3.1%. R&D investments for the quarter amounted to ₹8,264 million, representing 5.4% of sales.
Performance Drivers and Segmental Insights
Kirti Ganorkar, Managing Director, attributed the quarter’s performance to strong momentum in India and the Innovative Medicines division, which saw robust growth in the U.S. and international markets. India Formulations sales grew by 16% to ₹54,749 million, contributing 36.1% of total consolidated sales. Sun Pharma maintains its position as India’s No. 1 pharmaceutical company. U.S. Formulations sales were US$ 427 million, while Emerging Markets contributed US$ 311 million, up 4.2%. Rest of World Formulations recorded sales of US$ 218 million.
Innovative Medicines and R&D
Global Innovative Medicines sales increased by 12.8% to US$ 351 million, accounting for 21.9% of total sales. The company’s R&D pipeline continues to be a strategic focus, with ongoing investments in novel entities and a comprehensive product offering in the U.S. market. The update also provided details on the progress of the proposed acquisition by Sun of Organon, with an indicative closure expected by Q4FY27.
