The company has secured a key domestic order from a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) in Rajasthan, comprising 534.3 MWp of solar capacity. This marks SWREL’s entry into business with a new customer in India, highlighting its growing reputation.
International Expansion and Energy Storage Projects
Further strengthening its global footprint, SWREL has also clinched an international order in South Africa. This project involves two Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, with a combined capacity of 616 MWh. This order comes from a repeat client based in the Middle East, demonstrating continued confidence in SWREL’s execution capabilities and expertise in the renewable energy sector, particularly in advanced solutions like energy storage.
Project Details and Strategic Impact
The Rajasthan order is for a Balance of System (BOS) package, while the South African order is a turnkey EPC project for a BESS facility. The latter is noted as SWREL’s second-largest utility-scale BESS project to date. The Rajasthan project is projected to reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 0.80 million tonnes upon commissioning. These wins are expected to reinforce SWREL’s position as a leading player in the global renewable energy market and contribute to a more sustainable future.
