Steamhouse India Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC), Government of Haryana. The agreement focuses on exploring industrial infrastructure opportunities with a proposed investment of ₹500 crore in the state. This collaboration aims to evaluate potential projects, including community boiler infrastructure for industrial clusters.

Steamhouse India Partners with Haryana Government on Industrial Infrastructure

Surat, October 27, 2026 – Steamhouse India Limited has entered into a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Haryana Enterprises Promotion Centre (HEPC), a division of the Government of Haryana. This strategic partnership is set to explore substantial industrial infrastructure development opportunities within the state, involving a proposed investment of up to ₹500 crore.

Focus on Community Boiler Infrastructure

The MoU provides a framework for cooperation and government facilitation to assess potential projects. A key area of focus is the development of community boiler infrastructure, designed to serve industrial clusters. This model entails centralized steam generation and distribution through a pipeline network, offering advantages in terms of coordinated pollution control, fuel management, and emissions monitoring compared to individual installations.

Strategic Expansion and Environmental Compliance

Mr. Vishal S. Budhia, Chairman & Managing Director of Steamhouse India Limited, highlighted the opportunity to “rethink how steam-intensive industries meet their requirements while addressing the growing importance of environmental compliance.” He noted that Haryana’s industrial clusters, particularly in manufacturing hubs like Panipat and Sonipat, present fertile ground for evaluating centralized steam generation infrastructure. This initiative aligns with broader regulatory discussions and guidelines promoting such systems for better industrial emission management, especially in light of continuing air-quality concerns in the Delhi-NCR region.

Exploratory Nature of the Agreement

It is important to note that the MoU is exploratory in nature. It does not constitute a project award or a commitment to implement any specific facility. Any future development will be contingent upon detailed technical and commercial feasibility assessments, industrial demand, environmental requirements, and the securing of all necessary statutory approvals.
