  • Form 121 submission, along with a self-attested copy of the PAN linked to Aadhar, can result in nil withholding for resident shareholders.
  • NIL or lower withholding tax rates are applicable upon submission of a certificate issued under Section 395(1) of the Act.
  • A 10% rate applies for resident shareholders if PAN is provided and available, subject to the above conditions.
  • A 20% rate applies for resident shareholders if PAN is not provided, not available, invalid, or inoperative.

For Non-Resident Shareholders:

  • Withholding tax will be at the rate of 20% (plus applicable surcharge and cess) on dividend payments, unless specific exemptions apply.
  • A TDS rate of 10% (plus applicable surcharge and cess) applies to Specified Funds and GDR holders under specific provisions.
  • Non-resident shareholders can avail beneficial tax treaty rates (DTAA) if they provide the necessary documentation, including a self-attested copy of their PAN card and Tax Residency Certificate (TRC).
  • Failure to submit the required documents by the cut-off date of October 30, 2026, may result in tax being deducted at a higher rate.

Submission of Tax-Related Documents

Shareholders are requested to submit all required tax-related documents, including Form 121 and certificates under Section 395(1), via the link https://ris.kfintech.com/form15 or by email to [email protected] on or before October 30, 2026.
