Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited Reports Robust FY2026 Growth and Announces ₹2,700 Crore Expansion Plan

Shyam Metalics and Energy Limited has reported a strong performance for the fourth quarter and financial year ended March 31, 2026. The company announced a final dividend of ₹2.70 per equity share, representing 27% of the face value. Alongside strong financial results, the board has approved a significant capital expenditure of ₹2,700 crore to enhance manufacturing capacity through new projects in Kharagpur and Sambalpur, expected to be commissioned by 2029.

Financial Performance Overview

The company delivered a solid financial performance for the full financial year 2026, reporting a consolidated net profit attributable to owners of ₹1,070.24 crore. Revenue from operations for the year stood at ₹18,552.24 crore. For the fourth quarter, the company achieved consolidated revenue of ₹5,240.36 crore, demonstrating steady growth across its diverse steel and allied product portfolio.

Strategic Capital Expansion

To bolster its long-term growth and market position, the board has approved two major expansion projects with a total budget of ₹2,700 crore. The company will establish a Long & Speciality Wire Road and Bar Mill in Kharagpur with a capacity of 8,00,000 TPA, budgeted at ₹900 crore. Additionally, it will expand its Stainless Steel facilities in Sambalpur, with a capacity of 6,00,000 TPA and an investment of ₹1,800 crore. Both projects are slated for commissioning in the first quarter of 2029.

Shareholder Returns and Governance

Reflecting its commitment to shareholder value, the company has recommended a final dividend of ₹2.70 per equity share, subject to approval at the upcoming Annual General Meeting. Furthermore, the company has strengthened its corporate governance framework by appointing Ernst & Young LLP as Internal Auditors and BSS & Associates as Cost Auditors for the financial year 2026-27.
