Shree Cement Final Commissioning of Kodla Integrated Cement Plant Boosts Capacity to 70 MTPA

Shree Cement has announced the final commissioning of the Cement Mill at its integrated plant in Kodla, Karnataka, on March 14, 2026. Following the earlier commissioning of the clinkerisation section, the full plant is now operational. The final cement capacity for the Kodla unit is 3.50 MTPA, increasing the company’s overall India capacity to nearly 70 MTPA.

Full Commissioning of Kodla Integrated Plant

Shree Cement Limited has confirmed the successful commissioning of the Cement Mill at its integrated facility located in Village Kodla, Kalaburagi District of Karnataka. This event, which took place today, March 14, 2026, marks the full operationalization of the entire project.

Capacity Revisions and Achievements

The initial communication regarding the clinkerisation section had highlighted a capacity of 3.65 MTPA. With the addition of the new Cement Mill, which has a capacity of 3.50 MTPA, the integrated plant is now fully commissioned. It is noteworthy that the cement capacity, originally estimated at 3.0 MTPA, has been officially finalized at 3.50 MTPA due to optimization and process improvements executed during the project development phase.

Impact on Overall Capacity

The commissioning of this final component significantly scales up the company’s production capability:

  • The cement capacity at the Kodla, Karnataka site has reached a combined total of 6.50 MTPA.
  • The overall India Cement Capacity for Shree Cement has consequently increased to close to 70 MTPA.

This milestone confirms the successful completion of a major capacity expansion project for the company.
