Schaeffler India: Launches Major Aftermarket Brand Transformation

Schaeffler India is undertaking a major brand transformation for its aftermarket business, set to begin in Q2 2027. The company will gradually transition its leading product brands, including FAG, INA, and LuK, under a unified Schaeffler brand identity. This strategic move aims to simplify customer access to its complete portfolio of products, services, and digital solutions, enhancing brand recognition and market presence.

Schaeffler India Unifies Aftermarket Brands

Schaeffler India Limited announced today its major aftermarket brand transformation initiative, designed to consolidate its leading product brands under a single, strong Schaeffler identity. This strategic overhaul is scheduled to commence with a global, phased rollout starting in Q2 2027, beginning with the FAG product brand.

Key Pillars of the Transformation

The core of this transformation involves uniting established product brands, such as FAG, INA, and LuK, under the prominent Schaeffler brand. This initiative aims to provide customers worldwide with easier access to Schaeffler’s comprehensive portfolio of products, services, and digital solutions offered through its Vehicle Lifetime Solutions division. The new packaging design will be the first visible step, maintaining the high OE quality, performance, and reliability that customers expect.

Strategic Rationale and Customer Benefits

In response to increasing vehicle complexity and evolving customer needs in the global aftermarket, Schaeffler is simplifying its offerings. By consolidating under one brand, the company aims to make it easier for workshops and distributors to identify the right integrated solutions, navigate the portfolio, and benefit from the full expertise of a trusted technology partner. This approach is expected to strengthen the connection with the Schaeffler corporate brand and improve communication efficiency.

Phased Rollout and Brand Integration

The transition will be gradual, commencing with the FAG aftermarket portfolio in Q2 2027. Product quality, specifications, part numbers, and business processes will remain unchanged. While the Schaeffler brand will become prominent, the established FAG, INA, and LuK names will continue to be visible in a supporting role to ensure continuity and recognition. Advertising, sales tools, and digital assets will adopt a clear Schaeffler focus, with product-brand names used as supporting elements. The company previewed its new brand experience at Automechanika Frankfurt 2026.
