Religare Enterprises Limited MIC Insurance Web Aggregator License Surrender Approved

Religare Enterprises Limited has officially received board approval to surrender the license of its wholly owned subsidiary, MIC Insurance Web Aggregator Private Limited (MIC). This decision follows a strategic evaluation of the business model after the company previously suspended its operations in February 2025. The closure is expected to have no material financial impact on the organization, as MIC currently contributes nothing to the company’s turnover and has no outstanding liabilities.

Strategic Decision on MIC Operations

Following a comprehensive business review, the Board of Directors of Religare Enterprises Limited, in its meeting held on May 12, 2026, has decided to permanently close the operations of its subsidiary, MIC Insurance Web Aggregator Private Limited (MIC). This move marks the final step in the restructuring of this specific business segment, which had been under operational suspension since February 26, 2025, pending a feasibility analysis.

Financial and Operational Impact

Religare Enterprises has confirmed that the closure of MIC will have no material impact on the company’s overall financial health. The subsidiary currently holds a nil contribution to the company’s total turnover and has a negligible effect on the company’s net worth. Furthermore, the company has clarified that MIC holds no outstanding liabilities toward customers, personnel, or any other external entities, ensuring a clean and immediate closure process.

Customer and Regulatory Standing

With the surrender of its license, the company has confirmed that there will be no adverse impact on any customers associated with the web aggregator platform. The decision allows Religare Enterprises to streamline its business portfolio by shedding non-contributing segments and focusing on its core growth areas.
