NLC India: Forms Joint Venture for Green Energy Power Plant

NLC India Limited has announced the incorporation of its wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), into a Joint Venture with the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA). This new entity, named “NIRL OREDA RENEWABLES LIMITED,” will focus on setting up Green Energy Power Plants. The JV involves an equity participation of 51:49, with NLC India Renewables holding the majority stake. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued the Certificate of Incorporation on August 31, 2026.

NLC India Limited has officially announced the formation of a significant Joint Venture (JV) focused on developing green energy projects. The JV involves its wholly-owned subsidiary, NLC India Renewables Limited (NIRL), partnering with the Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA).

Joint Venture Details

The newly formed company has been named “NIRL OREDA RENEWABLES LIMITED”. Its primary objective is to establish and operate Green Energy Power Plant(s). The equity structure for this venture is set at 51:49, with NIRL holding the majority stake, indicating NLC India’s strong commitment to this initiative. The official incorporation was completed and a Certificate of Incorporation was issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs on August 31, 2026.

This strategic move by NLC India Limited signifies an expansion into renewable energy infrastructure development, leveraging partnerships to achieve its green energy goals.
