NLC India: Board Approves $100 Million External Borrowing

NLC India Limited’s Board of Directors has approved a significant financial move, authorizing the company to secure an unsecured External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) of USD 100 million. This funding is earmarked for capital expenditure requirements across the company’s thermal, mining, and diversification projects. Additionally, the Board fixed the record date for the final dividend payment for the financial year 2025-26 and announced the 70th Annual General Meeting.

Board Approves Major Funding Initiative

In a strategic decision impacting its future growth and operational expansion, NLC India Limited announced that its Board of Directors, during a meeting held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, gave its nod for securing an unsecured External Commercial Borrowing (ECB) amounting to USD 100 million. This substantial borrowing will be sourced from Punjab National Bank and is intended to finance crucial capital expenditure needs for the company’s ongoing and future thermal, mining, and diversification projects.

Dividend Record Date and AGM Announcement

Further strengthening its commitment to shareholder returns, the Board has fixed Tuesday, September 22, 2026, as the record date for determining eligible shareholders for the payment of the final dividend for the financial year 2025-26. This is subject to the approval of shareholders at the upcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM). The company also announced that the 70th AGM will be convened on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at 15:00 Hours, utilizing video conferencing (VC) and other audio-visual means, in compliance with relevant MCA and SEBI circulars. The Register of Members, Share Transfer Books, and Demat Records will be closed from September 23, 2026, to September 29, 2026, for this purpose.
