The initiative focuses on transitioning these products from laboratory-scale development to commercial-scale qualification.

Expansion at Surat Unit and Timeline

The planned capital expenditure will be implemented at the company’s unit in Surat. The project is anticipated to be completed within the second quarter of the financial year 2028 (Q2 of FY28). This expansion is seen as vital for augmenting capabilities and ensuring the supply of products for commercial scale qualification.

The rationale behind this investment includes incubating a new, value-accretive business vertical that is expected to serve as a future growth driver for the company. Financial Results Overview

The announcement coincides with the Board’s approval of the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. For the consolidated results, the company reported a profit after tax of ₹243.31 crores and total comprehensive income of ₹243.54 crores. On a standalone basis, the profit after tax for the same quarter was ₹190.64 crores with total comprehensive income of ₹190.91 crores.
