Expansion of Max Super Speciality Hospital, Vaishali
A significant capital expenditure of approximately ₹425 Crore has been approved for the expansion of the Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali. This expansion involves constructing an additional hospital block, ‘Tower 3’, which will add approximately 202 census beds and 48 non-census beds to the existing capacity of about 387 beds. The project is expected to be commissioned by November 2029 and will be financed through a combination of internal accruals and borrowings. This expansion aims to cater to the healthcare needs of the communities in and around the Ghaziabad region.
Senior Management Changes
The Board also approved changes within its Senior Management Personnel. Mr. Ajay Vij has been appointed as Director – Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer, effective August 14, 2026. Mr. Pawan Kumar Marella has been appointed as Senior Director – Chief Experience & Brand Officer, effective August 17, 2026. In a separate development, Dr. N. Venkatesan, Senior Director & Chief Procurement Officer, has resigned and will cease to be a Senior Management Personnel of the Company effective August 31, 2026, to pursue future career opportunities.
In-Principle Approval for Medical Colleges
The Board has given its in-principle approval to explore and evaluate the establishment of medical colleges and medical institutions, either directly or through subsidiaries. This initiative is in response to proposed amendments by the National Medical Commission (NMC) that would allow companies incorporated under the Companies Act, 2013, to pursue such activities. Concurrently, the Company’s Memorandum of Association will be amended to incorporate additional enabling objects aligned with its long-term business strategy.
