Mahindra Lifespaces Issues Addendum to FY26 Integrated Annual Report
Mahindra Lifespace Developers Limited has submitted an addendum to its Integrated Annual Report for the Financial Year 2025-26. This addendum addresses corrections to certain sustainability metrics, primarily related to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data, following a detailed internal review and validation of underlying source records.
Key Data Revisions
The most significant revision pertains to Residential Scope 1 emissions, which have been corrected from the previously reported 1,973.89 tCO₂e to 89.22 tCO₂e. This adjustment arose from a typographical error in a unit of measurement for one site’s diesel consumption and a decimal-level adjustment for another site’s data. Consequently, several associated metrics have also been revised:
- Residential Scope 1 & 2 emissions total: Revised from 2,845.18 tCO₂e to 960.51 tCO₂e.
- Reduction in Scope 1 & 2 absolute GHG Emissions across Residential and IC&IC: Revised from 69% increase to 0.49% decrease.
- GHG Emission Intensity – Residential (tCO₂e/sq.ft.): Revised from 0.008; 13% decrease to 0.0078; 63% decrease.
Furthermore, the Water Positivity Index of IC&IC (O&M) has been corrected from 108.05% to 45.08%.
Assurance and Transparency
The addendum and revised disclosures have been independently verified by Bureau Veritas (India) Private Limited, which has issued an assurance statement confirming the accuracy of these revisions. Mahindra Lifespaces emphasizes that these changes stem solely from data reporting and correction, with no alteration to operational activities, emission sources, boundary definitions, or sustainability targets. The revised information is being uploaded to the company’s website for stakeholder access.
The company reaffirms its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, accuracy, and accountability in its sustainability disclosures, ensuring stakeholders have access to the most accurate environmental performance information.
