Hexaware Technologies has announced its sponsorship of the Dublin Guardians as an Official Partner for the inaugural European T20 Premier League (ETPL) season. This strategic partnership marks an expansion of Hexaware’s involvement in franchise cricket into the European market.
Expanding Cricket Association in Europe
The sponsorship comes as franchise cricket gains traction in Europe, a region where Hexaware maintains significant operations and is actively developing local teams and capabilities. The ETPL, which commenced on August 26, 2026, is an ICC-sanctioned league featuring six city-based teams from Ireland, Scotland, and the Netherlands, offering European players a platform to compete professionally alongside international cricketers.
Supporting Local Talent and Growth
The Dublin Guardians, representing the Irish capital, are owned in part by Rahul Dravid and captained by Ravichandran Ashwin. Parameshwaran Iyer, Executive Vice President at Hexaware, highlighted the opportunity to support local talent and strengthen the game from the grassroots up as a key appeal of the partnership. Ajit Ravindran, CEO of Dublin Guardians, noted Hexaware’s focus on building local capability as a strong synergy.
Building on Previous Success
This sponsorship follows Hexaware’s earlier engagement with the San Francisco Unicorns in Major League Cricket in the United States, signifying a growing commitment to the sport. The ETPL is organized in collaboration with Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland, and the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. The first season is scheduled to run until September 20, 2026.
