HDFC Asset Management Company Limited has officially released its Business Responsibility and Sustainability Report (BRSR) for the financial year ending March 31, 2026. The comprehensive report provides detailed insights into the company’s commitment and performance across key ESG parameters.
Independent Assurance
This year’s BRSR report has undergone an independent assurance engagement conducted by SGS India Private Limited. SGS India has provided a Reasonable level of Assurance for the BRSR Core attributes, affirming the accuracy and reliability of the disclosed information, in accordance with International Standards.
Environmental Performance Highlights
Energy and Emissions
The report details HDFC AMC’s energy consumption, with total energy consumed from non-renewable sources amounting to 21,227 GJ in FY 2025-26. The company’s energy intensity was 5.15 GJ/Cr. of turnover. Greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 1 and Scope 2) totaled 3,452 tCO2e, with an intensity of 0.84 tCO2e/Cr. of turnover.
Water Management
Water withdrawal for FY 2025-26 was 24,716 kilolitres, with a consumption of 4,943 kilolitres. Water intensity stood at 1.20 KL/Cr. of turnover.
Waste Management
Total waste generated was 6.76 metric tonnes in FY 2025-26, with 6.57 metric tonnes recovered through recycling and other recovery operations. The company managed 0.22 tonnes of plastic waste and 6.54 tonnes of battery waste.
Social Responsibility Initiatives
Employee Well-being and Diversity
HDFC AMC reported a total of 2,305 employees, with 724 (31%) being female. The company also emphasizes employee well-being, with 0.15% of total revenue spent on well-being measures in FY 2025-26. Significant training was provided, with 1,713 employees undergoing health and safety training and 1,626 employees participating in performance and career development reviews.
Human Rights and Fair Practices
The company maintains a zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment and discrimination. A total of 2,300 employees received training on human rights issues. There were no complaints filed regarding sexual harassment, discrimination, child labour, forced labour, or wage issues in FY 2025-26.
Governance and Stakeholder Engagement
Customer Grievances
The company processed 1,561 customer complaints related to delivery of essential services in FY 2025-26, with 9 pending resolution. HDFC AMC actively engages with customers through various channels, including emails, call centers, and an online ‘Write to Us’ link.
Community Engagement
HDFC AMC undertakes various CSR initiatives. Key projects include support for cancer patients, education, sports, and skilling programs. The company also supported an Urban Forest Project and other community development initiatives.
