Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited has announced the receipt of a Letter of Intent (LOI) for a substantial supply contract. The order comes from Purvanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited, a power distribution company operating under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited.
Key Contract Details
The contract pertains to the supply of 33 kV HT XLPE cables, a critical component for power transmission and distribution networks. The total value of the order is pegged at ₹61,03,55,000/- (Rupees Sixty-One Crore Three Lakh Fifty-Five Thousand only), inclusive of 18% GST. The base price, excluding GST, stands at ₹51,72,50,000/-.
Project Execution and Timeline
The delivery of the cables is scheduled to be completed by January 2027, with deliveries planned to commence from September 2026 to January 2027. The order specifies a quantity of 250 km of 3C x 300 sq. mm XLPE cable, to be distributed across three Discoms: MVVNL (150 km), DVVNL (30 km), and PVVNL (70 km). The contract includes a guarantee period of 36 months from commissioning or 42 months from dispatch, whichever is earlier.
Transaction Nature
The company clarified that neither its promoter nor any group companies have an interest in the entity awarding the order. Furthermore, the transaction is not considered a related party transaction, as the awardee is a State Government-owned power distribution utility operating at arm’s length.
