The company reported a significant 22% year-over-year (YoY) increase in operating revenue, reaching ₹3,256 crore for Q1 FY27. This top-line growth, coupled with improved operational efficiencies, led to a substantial 65% YoY increase in EBITDA, which stood at ₹845 crore.

Profitability Surge Driven by Strategic Factors

The company’s net profit witnessed an impressive surge of 101% YoY, amounting to ₹490 crore for the quarter. This strong bottom-line performance was supported by strategic factors, including global supply tightness and robust realization across its mining, industrial chemicals, and ammonia businesses. DFPCL also noted a 139% quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) growth in EBITDA and a remarkable 252% QoQ increase in net profit, indicating strong sequential momentum.

Segmental Performance Highlights

The earnings presentation provided insights into the performance of its key business verticals. The Mining Chemicals (TAN) segment reported a 36% YoY revenue growth. The Industrial Chemicals segment saw a 10% QoQ revenue increase, driven by better realization despite some volume challenges. The Crop Nutrition Business (CNB) reported a 9% YoY revenue growth, demonstrating resilience in its core markets.

Strategic Capex and Future Outlook

DFPCL is strategically investing in capacity expansion, with projects like the TAN Project in Gopalpur and the Nitric Acid Project in Dahej progressing well and expected to commission in Q2-FY27. These initiatives aim to enhance the company’s market position and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The company’s outlook remains positive, with efforts focused on accelerating the transition from commodity to specialty products and advancing transparency and sustainability.
