Cholamandalam Investment: Promoter Reclassification Approved by Stock Exchanges

Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited has received approval from both the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and BSE Limited for the reclassification of its promoter group entity, Algavista Greentech Private Limited (AGPL), from ‘Promoter’ to ‘Public’ category. This decision follows earlier communications and signifies a change in the categorisation of AGPL’s shareholding as per SEBI regulations. The stock exchanges granted their no-objection on August 26, 2026.

Promoter Reclassification Approved by NSE and BSE

Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company Limited (Chola) announced on August 26, 2026, that it has received the necessary no-objection approvals from both the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) and BSE Limited for the reclassification of its promoter group entity. The entity in question is Algavista Greentech Private Limited (AGPL), which will now be reclassified from the ‘Promoter’ category to the ‘Public’ category.

Regulatory Compliance and Approvals

This reclassification is in accordance with Regulation 31A(8) of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Chola had previously communicated its request for this reclassification through letters dated January 30, 2026, and February 4, 2026. The approval letters from NSE (Ref: NSE/LIST/COMP/CHOLAFIN/565/2025-2026) and BSE (Ref: LIST/COMP/SJ/180/2026-27), both dated August 26, 2026, have been provided for the company’s records and regulatory filings.

The company has been advised to ensure compliance with subsequent disclosures of material events related to this reclassification, as per the applicable provisions of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.
