This award pertains to the establishment of a substantial 2000 MW ISTS-Connected Wind Power Project. The project was secured under the competitive bidding process for SECI-Tranche-XX, reinforcing CESC’s commitment to expanding its renewable energy portfolio.

The LOA was issued to Purvah Green Power Private Limited on August 5, 2026, following Purvah’s successful response to SECI’s Request for Selection. The project involves the development and operation of wind power capacity with an estimated 175 MW capacity, contributing to India’s renewable energy targets. The agreed-upon tariff rate for the power generated is Rs 3.85 per kilowatt-hour (kWh). The power supply contract is set for a considerable duration of 25 years from the scheduled commencement of supply.

Company and Contractual Information

The entity awarding the contract is the Solar Energy Corporation of India Ltd (SECI), a domestic entity. The nature of the contract is primarily focused on power supply from the wind power project. It has been confirmed that this order does not fall within related party transactions and is conducted at arm’s length, with no interest from the promoter group in the awarding entity.
