Financial Highlights and Operational Performance

During the quarter, Blue Jet Healthcare reported revenue from operations of INR293 crores and an EBITDA of INR98 crores, reflecting a 25% increase in turnover over the previous quarter. The PI and API segments drove this growth, with the restart of intermediate supply contributing significantly. The company noted a gross margin of 53% and an operating EBITDA margin of 33.5%. Profit after tax for the quarter was reported at 26.7%.

Strategic Initiatives and Project Updates

The management provided updates on several strategic initiatives, including the Vizag project, which is progressing with engineering activities. The Hyderabad R&D center is expected to become operational soon, enhancing chemistry capabilities. The company is also focused on expanding its contrast media manufacturing footprint and investing in a new high-intensity sweetener.

The successful completion of its Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) was highlighted as a milestone, strengthening the balance sheet and providing financial flexibility for long-term strategies, including the development of a future-ready manufacturing and innovation platform in Vizag.

Regarding R&D efforts, the new facility in Hyderabad will focus on platform diversification, including peptides, GLP-1 intermediates, and continuous manufacturing. The company is tracking approximately 20 high conviction NCE opportunities and is looking to convert these into executable programs.

Outlook and Future Plans

Blue Jet Healthcare expects to launch 3 candidates within the Contrast Media segment and initiate pilot activities for a new high-intensity sweetener during FY27. The company’s long-term strategy remains anchored on building a globally competitive, innovation-led CDMO platform. Expected capital expenditure for the next three years is approximately INR1,000 crores, with around INR250 crores anticipated for FY27.
