Background of the New Director
Ms. Nigar Fatima Husain is an officer from the 1996 batch of the Indian Defence Estates Service. She holds a diverse academic background, including a B.Sc (Hons.) in Zoology from Kolkata University, an LLB from Delhi University, and a Post-Graduation in Sociology from Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya.
Professional Experience
Throughout her career, Ms. Husain has held several significant government roles, including:
- Chief Executive Officer: Served in the Cantonments of Roorkee, Jhansi, Deolali, and Mhow.
- Defence Estates Management: Served as Deputy Director General and Addl. Director General, where she managed vigilance matters and national-level defense land affairs.
- Policy and Administration: Held director-level responsibilities in the Department of School Education and Literacy, and served as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Minority Affairs.
The company has confirmed that there are no inter-se relationships between the newly appointed director and other members of the Board.
