Balu Forge: Q1 FY27 Revenue Jumps 29% to ₹3,007 Mn

Balu Forge Industries Ltd. has announced robust financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27). The company reported a significant 29.0% year-over-year increase in revenue from operations, reaching ₹3,007 million. Profit After Tax (PAT) also saw a healthy growth of 15.9% YoY to ₹661 million, demonstrating strong operational performance and strategic execution.

Strong Q1 FY27 Financial Performance

Balu Forge Industries Ltd. has demonstrated strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27). The company’s revenue from operations surged by 29.0% year-on-year to ₹3,007 million, compared to ₹2,332 million in Q1 FY26. This significant top-line growth was accompanied by an increase in EBITDA by 17.3% to ₹848 million, with the EBITDA margin standing at a healthy 28.2%.

Profitability and Margins

The company’s commitment to operational efficiency and strategic growth has also reflected positively on its bottom line. Profit After Tax (PAT) grew by 15.9% YoY to ₹661 million from ₹570 million in Q1 FY26. The PAT margin was reported at 21.7%. The company highlighted its strategic focus on scaling advanced manufacturing capacity and deepening penetration into critical sectors, which is expected to drive long-term, profitable growth.

Key Business Updates

Balu Forge also provided updates on key business developments, including the commercialization of its 100% ‘Made in India’ Shell Line with a capacity of 360,000 shells per annum. The company secured a 5-year MoU for large-caliber ammunition supply and made its Maiden Entry into the Aerospace Sector with an order from Alpha Aircraft Systems Inc. Additionally, the company is progressing with its defence capacity expansion, funded through internal accruals and potentially FCCBs.

Strategic Outlook

The company’s medium-term growth strategy focuses on expanding capacity, enhancing technology, and strengthening its global presence through organic growth and selective acquisitions. The ongoing expansion at its 46-acre integrated facility in Belagavi aims to increase machining capacity to 80,000 TPA by FY27. Balu Forge is also diversifying into precision-led sectors such as defence platforms and aerospace assemblies, supported by advanced materials.
