Avenue Supermarts Limited Q4 Revenue Climbs 19% Amid 500-Store Milestone

Avenue Supermarts Limited, operator of the D-Mart retail chain, reported a strong fiscal performance for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. Standalone revenue for Q4FY26 rose by 19.0% to ₹17,205 crore, while profit after tax grew by 16.9%. The company achieved a significant expansion milestone, reaching a total of 500 stores nationwide, with 85 new stores added during the fiscal year.

Standalone Financial Performance

For the quarter ended March 31, 2026, Avenue Supermarts posted a total revenue of ₹17,205 crore, marking a 19.0% increase compared to the same period last year. The company’s EBITDA saw substantial growth, rising 25.5% to ₹1,231 crore, with margins improving to 7.2%. Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹725 crore, leading to a basic EPS of ₹11.13 compared to ₹9.52 in the corresponding period of the previous year.

Annual Growth Highlights

On an annual basis (FY26), total revenue reached ₹66,968 crore, a 15.9% growth over the previous year. The annual EBITDA was recorded at ₹5,255 crore, and the company reported a net profit of ₹3,224 crore. Basic EPS for the full year climbed to ₹49.54, up from ₹44.98 in FY25.

Operational Expansion and Strategy

The company successfully reached a landmark of 500 stores by the end of March 2026, having added 58 stores in the final quarter alone. Managing Director & CEO Mr. Anshul Asawa noted that stores open for two years or longer achieved a growth of 10.8%, reflecting sustained operational efficiency. Meanwhile, the company’s e-commerce arm, DMart Ready, continues to rationalize its footprint, focusing operations in 18 cities with an emphasis on home delivery as the primary channel.
