Asahi India Glass Notifies IEPF Transfer of Unclaimed Shares and Dividends

Asahi India Glass Limited is formally notifying its shareholders about the impending transfer of certain equity shares and associated unclaimed dividends to the Investor Education and Protection Fund (IEPF). This regulatory requirement stems from the Company’s adherence to provisions under the Companies Act, 2013, and the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (Accounting, Audit, Transfer and Refund) Rules, 2016.

Shareholder Notification Process

The company has confirmed that individual notices were dispatched on 19th August, 2026, to shareholders whose dividends have been unclaimed for a period exceeding seven consecutive years, and whose shares are consequently liable for transfer to the IEPF. Furthermore, public advertisements detailing this matter have been published in prominent business dailies, specifically in ‘Business Standard’ (all editions) and ‘Veer Arjun’ (New Delhi edition) on 20th August, 2026. Copies of these notices and advertisements have been provided for record-keeping.

Details for Unclaimed Dividends

A specific notice is also addressed to shareholders detailing unclaimed dividends for various financial years, including the Final Dividend for The Year 2018-2019 (amounting to ₹37.00) and subsequent years up to Final Dividend for The Year 2024-2025 (amounting to ₹74.00). Shareholders are requested to mention specific details like Company Name, Folio No./DP ID & Client ID, Name of Shareholder, Contact Number, and Email ID in any communication. Self-attested KYC documents, including PAN and a cancelled cheque leaf, are also required for claim processing.

Timeline for Claims and Transfer

Shareholders have a deadline of 31st August, 2026, to make a valid claim for their equity shares. If no claim is received by this date, the company will proceed with transferring the shares to the Demat Account of the IEPF Authority as per the stipulated procedure. Post-transfer, shareholders can claim their shares from the IEPF Authority by filing the e-form IEPF-5. It is important to note that any unclaimed dividends prior to the mentioned years have already been transferred to the IEPF, and shareholders must approach the IEPF Authority directly for those claims.
