Advanced Enzyme Technologies Limited has released its unaudited financial results for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2027, which concluded on June 30, 2026. The company reported a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹1,898 million, marking a 2% increase compared to ₹1,859 million in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year (Q1 FY26). Sequentially, revenue saw a 7% de-growth from ₹2,034 million in Q4 FY26.

Profitability and Margins

Consolidated EBITDA for Q1 FY27 stood at ₹510 million, a 10% decrease year-on-year from ₹564 million in Q1 FY26, and a 19% decrease quarter-on-quarter from ₹632 million in Q4 FY26. Profit before tax (PBT) was reported at ₹535 million, down 3% year-on-year and 10% quarter-on-quarter. Profit after tax (PAT) was ₹386 million, a 5% decrease year-on-year and a 15% decrease quarter-on-quarter. The EBITDA margin for the quarter was 27%, with PAT margin at 20%.

Segmental Performance Review

The Human Nutrition segment experienced a 7% year-on-year decline in revenue to ₹1,139 million in Q1 FY27, primarily due to lower sales in the Pharma/API business. The Animal Nutrition segment saw a 3% year-on-year decrease to ₹252 million. In contrast, the Bio-Processing segment showed robust growth, with revenue increasing by 30% year-on-year to ₹306 million. The Food business within this segment grew by 51% year-on-year. The Specialized Manufacturing segment reported a significant 41% year-on-year increase in revenue to ₹200 million.

Geographical Revenue Breakdown

Domestic sales accounted for 49% of the revenue in Q1 FY27, amounting to ₹937 million, a 4% decrease year-on-year. International sales represented 51% of the revenue, growing by 9% year-on-year to ₹961 million. Europe saw a significant growth of 44%, and Asia (ex-India) grew by 37%, while Americas declined by 3%.

Outlook for 2026-27

Looking ahead to the 2026-27 fiscal year, Advanced Enzymes is committed to strengthening its business model with a focus on its core segments: Human Nutrition, Animal Nutrition, and Bio-Processing. The company plans to expand its product portfolio, particularly in probiotics, and leverage its existing infrastructure for growth. The Human Nutrition segment is expected to be a key growth driver, with the launch of its nutraceutical brand, Wellfa, in India. The company also intends to explore strategic acquisition opportunities to enhance its market presence and product offerings.
