Adani Green Energy Reports 37% YoY Growth in Energy Sales for 9M FY26

Adani Green Energy (AGEL) announced a 37% YoY increase in energy sales for the first nine months of FY26. Operational capacity grew by 48% YoY, reaching 17.2 GW. The company added 5.6 GW of greenfield capacity in CY25, representing approximately 14% of India’s total solar and wind additions, and has maintained its position as a leader in sustainability and renewable energy generation.

Financial Performance Highlights

Adani Green Energy Ltd (AGEL) reported the following financial highlights for the nine months ending December 31, 2025:

  • Energy sales increased by 37% YoY.
  • Revenue grew by 25% YoY to Rs. 8,508 crore.
  • EBITDA increased by 24% YoY to Rs. 7,921 crore.
  • The company achieved an industry-leading EBITDA margin of 91.5%.

Operational Achievements

AGEL’s operational capacity expanded to 17.2 GW, marking a 48% YoY increase. The company added 5.6 GW of greenfield capacity in CY25. Key achievements include progress at the Khavda project, the world’s largest renewable energy installation. The company is on track to deploy a significant battery energy storage project and a hydro pumped storage project on the Chitravathi river.

Capacity Addition and Energy Sales

AGEL added 2,995 MW of greenfield capacity in 9M FY26 and commissioned facilities at resource-rich sites in Khavda, Gujarat and Rajasthan. Energy sales increased by 37% YoY, driven by capacity additions and strong operational performance. This contributed to more than 27 billion units of clean electricity generated in the first nine months of the year.

Khavda Project Development

The 30 GW renewable energy plant at Khavda is progressing, covering an area of 538 sq km, and is on track to achieve 30 GW RE capacity by 2029. This project deploys advanced technologies such as bifacial solar modules, trackers, and large wind turbines. AGEL uses waterless robotic cleaning and is focused on minimizing water usage while maximizing electricity generation. Operational portfolio at Khavda stands at 7.7 GW.
