Vodafone Idea Limited has reported a significant turnaround in its financial performance for the Financial Year ended March 31, 2026, posting a net profit of ₹34,482 Crore. The positive shift is attributed to various strategic initiatives and a resolution of long-standing challenges, including the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) matter.
Strong Financial Turnaround in FY26
Vodafone Idea Limited (the Company) has announced a significant financial turnaround for the Financial Year ended March 31, 2026, reporting a standalone net profit of ₹34,482 Crore. This achievement contrasts sharply with the net loss of ₹27,442 Crore in the previous financial year, reflecting a remarkable financial recovery driven by strategic initiatives and the resolution of key challenges.
Key Financial Highlights
The Company’s revenue from operations increased to ₹44,782 Crore in FY26 from ₹43,572 Crore in FY25. EBITDA saw a substantial rise of 4.8% to ₹19,003 Crore, with the EBITDA margin improving to 43.1% from 41.6%. This performance underscores disciplined cost management and steady revenue growth.
Resolution of AGR Matter and Other Factors
A significant development during the year was the resolution of the Adjusted Gross Revenue (AGR) matter. Following a reassessment by a Department of Telecommunications committee, the Company’s AGR liability was finalized at ₹64,046 Cr, a substantial reduction from the earlier provisional figure. This resolution, along with continued support from promoters, stronger credit ratings, and a return to positive subscriber additions, provides a firmer platform for future growth.
Furthermore, the Company successfully raised approximately ₹3,300 Crore through non-convertible debentures and secured equity infusions, reinforcing investor and lender confidence. These efforts have fundamentally strengthened the Company’s financial position and removed a key uncertainty that had previously constrained investment decisions.
