Wipro Limited Launches Applied AI Center of Excellence for Claude Models Powered by Anthropic

Wipro Limited has announced the launch of its Applied AI Center of Excellence (CoE) for Claude models, in partnership with Anthropic. This initiative aims to accelerate enterprise AI adoption and integrate AI into core business workflows across various industries. The CoE will focus on developing AI-native platforms and industry solutions, with a goal to certify 10,000 Front-Line Delivery Experts on Claude within 18 months.

This new CoE, located at its Bengaluru innovation hub, is a key initiative under Wipro’s recently formed AI-Native Business & Platforms Unit. The launch signifies Wipro’s reinforced commitment to accelerating the impact of enterprise AI and embedding it into core business processes across diverse industries.

Accelerating Enterprise AI Adoption

The Applied AI CoE for Claude models is designed to enhance Wipro’s capability in scaling enterprise AI adoption. It integrates advanced capabilities across Wipro’s Intelligence™ stack, including delivery, functional, and industry platforms. This strategic move aims to embed AI seamlessly into critical business workflows. Wipro has been actively building a global talent pool of Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) trained on Claude models, equipped with deep knowledge of model behavior and real-world applications. These engineers will operate within client environments to expedite AI integration and deliver measurable outcomes, aligning with Wipro’s ‘proof over promise’ approach to AI strategy.

Developing AI-Native Solutions

The CoE will also serve as a crucial hub for accelerating the development of AI-native platforms and industry-specific solutions. These solutions will target sectors such as Mortgage, Healthcare, Airlines, Manufacturing, and Consumer industries. By embedding Claude models into Wipro’s existing platforms, the company aims to foster co-innovation with clients in live environments. Furthermore, this initiative will support scaling AI adoption across Wipro’s internal functions, including Finance, HR, and Sales, as part of its ongoing internal transformation.

Talent Development and Certification

A significant differentiator of Wipro’s enterprise AI strategy is its commitment to developing a robust AI workforce. Over the next 18 months, Wipro plans to certify 10,000 Front-Line Delivery Experts on their proficiency in utilizing Claude models. This program is engineered to build a strong foundation of practitioners capable of effectively designing, deploying, and managing AI-enabled systems within complex enterprise settings.
