Welspun Enterprises Incorporation of New Wholly-Owned Subsidiary

Welspun Enterprises has announced the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, Welspun Pune Shirur Projects Limited, as of May 09, 2026. This new entity has been established to specifically execute a highway construction project in the state of Maharashtra. The company has invested ₹1,00,000 to acquire 100% of the share capital in this new venture, marking a strategic step in its infrastructure development pipeline.

Strategic Business Expansion

On May 09, 2026, Welspun Enterprises successfully incorporated Welspun Pune Shirur Projects Limited. This move serves as a dedicated vehicle for the company’s latest infrastructure undertaking. The subsidiary was established with an initial paid-up capital of ₹1,00,000, represented by 10,000 equity shares, all of which are held by the parent company.

Focus on Highway Infrastructure

The primary objective of the newly formed subsidiary is to execute the construction of a 6-lane partially elevated highway corridor. The project covers the stretch from Km. 10+600 to Km. 64+000, connecting Pune to Shirur on the NH-753F. This development spans a minimum design length of 53.40 kilometers and will be executed on a DFBOT (Toll) mode, further strengthening the company’s presence in the core infrastructure and construction services sector.

Next Steps

As the entity was just incorporated, it is currently in its pre-operational phase. Business activities and project mobilization are expected to commence following the setup of the subsidiary. The incorporation aligns with the company’s broader strategy to expand its operational footprint in the highway and transportation infrastructure space.
