Welspun Enterprises Limited has issued an investor presentation for the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), outlining its financial performance, operational achievements, and future strategies. The presentation was submitted to the stock exchanges on August 4, 2026.

Consolidated Income Statement Snapshot

For Q1 FY27, Welspun Enterprises reported a consolidated revenue from operations of ₹774 crore, compared to ₹845 crore in the prior year’s quarter (Q1 FY26), representing an 8% decrease. EBITDA stood at ₹185 crore, down 11% year-on-year, with an EBITDA margin of 22.9%. Profit after Tax from Ordinary Activities was ₹90 crore, a 20% decline from ₹114 crore in Q1 FY26. The reported profit after tax for the quarter was ₹56 crore, a significant decrease of 44% from ₹101 crore in the same period last year.

Standalone Income Statement Snapshot

On a standalone basis, revenue from operations for Q1 FY27 was ₹543 crore, down 10% from ₹604 crore in Q1 FY26. EBITDA decreased by 20% to ₹99 crore, with the EBITDA margin at 17.1%. Profit before Tax saw a 30% drop to ₹82 crore, and Profit after Tax also declined by 30% to ₹60 crore.

Balance Sheet Metrics

As of June 30, 2026, the company’s consolidated Net Worth was ₹3,323 crore. Gross Debt stood at ₹1,900 crore, with Long Term Debt at ₹1,866 crore. Cash and Cash Equivalents were substantial at ₹1,792 crore, resulting in a Net Debt of ₹109 crore.

Order Book and Business Updates

Welspun Enterprises maintains a strong platform for future growth, evidenced by a robust order book totaling ₹18,729 crore as of June 30, 2026. This order book is diversified across Water (55%), Transportation (30%), Tunneling (11%), and Others (4%). Project type-wise, EPC constitutes 42%, followed by O&M and BOT at 29% each, and HAM at 1%.

Key Project Developments

  • Water Vertical: Includes operational projects like Dewas Water and several projects under execution such as UP State Water and Sanitation Mission, Bhandup Water Treatment Complex, Dharavi Wastewater Treatment Facility, Smart Ops Treatment Projects, and Panjrapur Water Treatment facility. Tunneling projects within the water vertical are also progressing.
  • Tunneling Vertical: Key updates include the Dharavi Ghatkopar Tunnel with all clearances in place and execution in progress, as well as Priority Sewerage Tunnel 1 and 2 in Mumbai at an advanced stage of completion. Rehabilitation and Pumping Stations projects are also underway.
  • Transportation Vertical: Road assets include Aunta-Simaria (ASRP) with divestment announced, Sattanathapuram-Nagapattinam (SNRP) under execution, Varanasi Aurangabad NH2 Project (VARP) under execution, and Pune Shirur NH-753F where the sub-concession agreement has been executed.
  • Oil and Gas Exploration JV: Collective Gas Initially in Place is approximately 1.1 TCF, with gas evacuation plans in advanced discussion and monetization expected in FY29.

Management Comment

Mr. Sandeep Garg, Managing Director, commented on the quarter amidst a challenging operating environment, highlighting a strong EBITDA margin of 22.9%. He noted the execution of the Sub-Concession Agreement for the Pune-Shirur Road Project and the High Court clearance for the Dharavi–Ghatkopar Tunnel Project. The divestment of the Aunta-Simaria road asset aligns with the company’s capital recycling strategy. The company remains well-positioned to capitalize on infrastructure development opportunities in Water, Transportation, and Tunneling segments, supported by an order book of over ₹18,700 crore.

Welspun Enterprises reported a Sustainalytics ESG Risk Rating improvement from 36 in June 2024 to 32.4 in June 2026.
