Board Meeting Outcomes Announced
Websol Energy System Limited convened its board meeting on Wednesday, 4th November 2026. During this meeting, the Directors approved the unaudited financial results for both standalone and consolidated entities for the quarter and half-year ending 30th September, 2026. The results were also reviewed by the Audit Committee prior to board approval.
Strategic Business Expansion Approved
In a significant move to broaden its market presence, Websol Energy has decided to enter the EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), Solar IPP (Independent Power Producer), and energy trading businesses. This expansion aims to cover a more comprehensive segment of the solar energy value chain.
Key Investment in Energy Trading
To facilitate these new business activities, the board has approved a strategic investment. Websol Energy will subscribe to 40% of the Equity Share Capital of Bright Earth Cell Private Limited, an entity focused on the energy trading business. This will make Bright Earth Cell Private Limited an ‘Associate Company’ for Websol Energy.
Subsidiary Incorporation for New Ventures
Furthermore, the company plans to incorporate wholly-owned subsidiary companies. These new entities will be established to undertake the other planned business ventures within the solar energy sector.
Financial Reporting and Auditor Review
The unaudited financial results, along with the Independent Auditor’s Review Report, have been submitted as per the Listing Regulations. The auditor’s report, conducted by G. P. Agrawal & Co., confirmed that based on their review, the financial statements prepared in accordance with Indian Accounting Standards do not contain any material misstatements. The consolidated financial results also include the subsidiary, Websol Renewables Private Limited.
