Voltamp Transformers Greenlights Expansion Project
Voltamp Transformers Limited’s Board of Directors has given the go-ahead for a substantial capital expenditure of approximately ₹90 crore (appx.). This strategic investment is primarily aimed at constructing a new, grass-root, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the manufacturing of dry-type transformers. The proposed facility will be located near Vadodara.
Meeting Future Demand
The decision to invest in this new capacity is driven by the projected increase in demand for transformers over the next 5 to 6 years. The company plans to add a capacity of 2300 MVA, with the new facility expected to be operational within 12-14 months. This expansion is crucial for Voltamp Transformers to maintain its competitive edge and capitalize on market growth opportunities.
Financials and Funding
Alongside the capital expenditure approval, Voltamp Transformers also announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported a net profit of ₹9,122.28 Lakhs for the quarter. The proposed ₹90 crore investment will be financed entirely through internal accruals, underscoring the company’s strong financial health and operational cash flow generation capabilities.
