VA TECH WABAG LIMITED has announced the incorporation of a new wholly-owned subsidiary, NORTH CHENNAI TRU WATER PRIVATE LIMITED, effective April 01, 2026. The new entity was established with an initial paid-up capital of INR 1,00,000. This strategic move aims to facilitate the execution of a 45 Million Litres per Day (MLD) Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) plant project located in Kodungaiyur, Chennai, utilizing the RFOMT model.

VA TECH WABAG LIMITED has formally expanded its operational structure by incorporating NORTH CHENNAI TRU WATER PRIVATE LIMITED. As a wholly-owned subsidiary, this entity will be instrumental in managing the specialized infrastructure requirements for the Chennai region. The incorporation process was completed with the official certificate received on April 22, 2026.
Focus on Water Treatment Infrastructure
The primary mandate of the newly formed subsidiary is to execute the Refurbishment, Finance, Operate, Maintain and Transfer (RFOMT) project for the 45 MLD TTRO Plant at Kodungaiyur. This project underscores WABAG’s commitment to advancing water sustainability through large-scale tertiary treatment solutions, playing a critical role in addressing water resource challenges in Tamil Nadu.
Capital and Operational Status
The subsidiary has been established with an initial equity base of 10,000 equity shares, each with a face value of INR 10, totaling a paid-up capital of INR 1,00,000. As the entity is newly incorporated, it is yet to commence business operations and currently carries a nil turnover. WABAG maintains 100% control over the subsidiary, ensuring complete alignment with the parent company’s operational objectives and project delivery standards.
