New General Counsel Appointed
Effective December 1, 2026, Mr. Sameer Chugh will assume the role of General Counsel, India. Mr. Chugh brings over 30 years of extensive legal leadership experience across highly regulated sectors, including corporate governance, M&A, and litigation. He previously served as Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel at Games24x7 and held significant positions at Bharti Group, British Telecom, and Essar Group. He holds an integrated bachelor’s degree in Socio-Legal Sciences and Law (LL.B.) from Symbiosis Society’s Law College, Pune, and a Master’s degree in Telecom Business from University College of London. He is also an advocate with the Bar Council of Delhi.
Departures from Senior Roles
The company has also noted the resignation of Ms. Shobana Nikam, who held the position of Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Ms. Nikam’s resignation is effective from the close of business hours on October 31, 2026. Her departure marks the end of her tenure in a senior management capacity.
Additionally, the tenure of Ms. Archana Sasan as Interim General Counsel, serving in a consulting capacity, will conclude on December 31, 2026. Following this date, she will cease to be a Senior Management Personnel (SMP) of the Company.
