Before this appointment, Amresh Prasad held the position of Chief General Manager at Punjab National Bank, specifically stationed at the Corporate office.

Experience and Qualifications

Prasad brings extensive banking experience of over 32 years, including roles in branch banking, zonal offices, and head office functions. His expertise covers corporate credit, credit review, monitoring, and transaction monitoring. He is a Chemistry graduate and a Certified Associate from the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

Leadership Development

Shri Prasad has actively participated in various training and Leadership Development Programs, including the Leadership Development Program at SBIL Kolkata.

Director Relationships

Amresh Prasad does not have any familial or financial ties with any current Directors of Union Bank. Furthermore, he has not been barred from holding the position of Executive Director by any SEBI order or other such authority.
