Trident Group, led by Chairman Padma Shri Rajinder Gupta, has announced an ambitious expansion plan with an investment of ₹2,000 crore in Punjab. The announcement was made during a press briefing with Punjab’s Industry and Commerce Minister, Shri Sanjeev Arora.
Key Investment Areas
The expansion plan includes strategic investments across two key locations:
- Barnala: ₹1,500 crore will be allocated to scale up Terry Towel production capabilities and modernize paper manufacturing facilities.
- Mohali: ₹500 crore will be directed towards establishing a state-of-the-art corporate office and a capacity-building center.
Employment and Empowerment
This strategic initiative is projected to generate approximately 2,000 employment opportunities. A key focus of the recruitment strategy will be on engaging semi-skilled rural women, thereby advancing women’s empowerment within the region.
