Tonbo Imaging: Wins Strategic European Export Order for EO/IR Seeker

Tonbo Imaging India Limited has secured a strategic export order from a state-owned European company for its EO/IR stabilised seeker. The initial order is valued at approximately EUR 65,000, with an option for further orders potentially reaching EUR 13 million. This marks a significant step into an export loitering munition program, positioning the company for future series supply and expanding its international market presence.

Strategic Export Order Secured

Tonbo Imaging India Limited announced today that it has been awarded a strategic export order from a state-owned company based in Europe. The order is for the supply of the Company’s EO/IR stabilised seeker, specifically for First of Production Model (FOPM) units. The initial value of this order is approximately EUR 65,000.

Potential for Growth and Expansion

Upon successful acceptance of the FOPM units, the European customer holds an option to place a subsequent order with a total potential value of approximately EUR 13 million. This development signifies the entry of Tonbo’s seeker into an export loitering munition programme and establishes a pathway for series supply following qualification. The company views this as the beginning of a potentially long-term relationship and a testament to its investments in core imaging, stabilisation, and tracking technology.

Product Details and Market Position

The EO/IR stabilised seeker is designed to combine day and thermal imaging with advanced stabilisation and onboard target tracking capabilities in a compact package. It is particularly suited for loitering munitions, precision-guided munitions, and interceptor drones where size, weight, power, and cost are critical factors. This order highlights the capability of Indian-designed and manufactured sub-systems to meet the stringent standards of international defense programs.

Contractual Conditions

The supply under this contract is contingent upon the customer providing an End User Certificate and Tonbo Imaging obtaining the necessary export authorization from the Government of India. The company is focused on delivering these initial production units to the customer’s satisfaction.
