Thermax Secures Utility Boiler Order for Nigeria Refinery Valued at ₹580 Crore

Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions (TBWES), a subsidiary of Thermax, has secured an order valued at ₹580 crore to supply utility boilers and associated systems for a refinery and petrochemical complex in Nigeria. The project includes four 400 TPH high-pressure utility boilers, designed to improve energy independence for a key client. The delivery period for the project is 22 months.

Significant Order in African Market

Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES) has been awarded a contract to provide utility boilers and associated systems. The client is Dangote Industries for their refinery and petrochemical complex located in Nigeria. The total order is valued at ₹580 crore.

Project Details

This project will involve four units of 400 TPH high-pressure utility boilers, including auxiliaries. TBWES will handle design, manufacturing, and testing, and supply plug & play modules as well as the supervision of construction and commissioning.

Project Timeline

The project is expected to be completed within 22 months.

Client Relationship

This new order builds upon a prior relationship with Dangote Industries. In 2017, Thermax secured a contract valued at approximately US$157 million to supply boilers, HRSGs, and flue gas steam generators for Dangote’s refinery project in Lekki, Nigeria. The collaboration reflects a legacy of trust and excellence.
