Thermax has reported robust financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. The Group posted a consolidated annual profit after tax growth of 15%, with an 18% increase for the final quarter. Reflecting this performance and its 60th anniversary, the company has declared a total dividend of Rs. 20/- per share. Additionally, the company announced key leadership appointments to strengthen its senior management team.
Financial Performance Highlights
Thermax demonstrated strong growth in the final quarter of FY 2025-26, achieving a consolidated operating revenue of Rs. 3,428 crore, representing a 13% increase year-on-year. The consolidated profit after tax for the quarter reached Rs. 244 crore, marking an 18% surge compared to the same period in the previous fiscal year. For the full year, the Group reported an operating revenue of Rs. 10,694 crore, with a consolidated annual profit after tax of Rs. 720 crore, up by 15%.
Strategic Order Wins and Growth
The company’s order book remains healthy, with a closing balance of Rs. 13,604 crore as of March 31, 2026. A key contributor to this growth was a significant boiler package supply contract secured by Thermax Babcock & Wilcox Energy Solutions Limited (TBWES), valued at approximately Rs. 1,600 crore, for an ultra-supercritical thermal power plant in Central India.
Shareholder Returns
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the company, the Board has recommended a total dividend of Rs. 20/- per equity share (1000%). This comprises a final dividend of Rs. 14/- and a special anniversary dividend of Rs. 6/- per share. The record date for the payment of this dividend is set for Friday, July 3, 2026, subject to approval at the upcoming 45th Annual General Meeting.
Leadership Appointments
The company also announced key updates to its leadership structure. Dr. Ravi Shankar Gopinath has been re-appointed as a Non-Executive, Independent Director for a second consecutive five-year term, effective November 10, 2026. Furthermore, Ms. Kavita Singh has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer and Senior Management Personnel, effective May 25, 2026, bringing over 24 years of global experience to the leadership team.
