The Great Eastern Shipping Company Ltd. has formally announced the schedule for its 78th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The meeting is slated to take place on Tuesday, August 04, 2026, commencing at 03:00 p.m. Indian Standard Time (IST). In compliance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013, and circulars issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Securities and Exchange Board of India, the AGM will be conducted through Video Conferencing (VC) or Other Audio Visual Means (OAVM).
Cut-off Date and E-Voting Period
The company has designated Tuesday, July 28, 2026, as the ‘cut-off’ date for determining the voting rights of members, applicable to both remote e-voting and voting during the AGM. Shareholders’ voting rights will be in proportion to their shareholding in the paid-up equity share capital of the Company as on this cut-off date. The remote e-voting period is scheduled to commence on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 09:00 a.m., and will conclude on Monday, August 03, 2026, at 05:00 p.m. The remote e-voting module will be disabled by NSDL for voting thereafter.
AGM Participation and Voting
Members who will be present in the AGM through VC/OAVM facility and have not cast their vote through remote e-voting will be eligible to vote through the e-voting system during the AGM. Members who have cast their vote by remote e-voting prior to the AGM may also attend the AGM but will not be entitled to cast their vote again.
Speaker Registration
Speaker registrations for the AGM will be open from July 30, 2026 (09:00 a.m. onwards) up to August 01, 2026 (till 05:00 p.m.).
Closure of Register of Members
The Register of Members and Share Transfer Books of the Company will remain closed from July 29, 2026, to August 04, 2026 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of the Annual General Meeting.
