Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd. has secured a ₹57.15 crore order from Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited for the supply and commissioning of specialized railway rolling stock. The project involves delivering 2 BTAP Rakes and 2 BVCM units. This domestic contract marks a significant addition to Texmaco’s order book, with execution scheduled to take place over the next eight months starting from May 8, 2026.

The company has been commissioned by Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited to supply and deploy essential rail infrastructure, specifically targeting the improvement of industrial freight transportation capabilities.

Contract Details and Scope

The contract, valued at ₹57.15 crore, encompasses the manufacturing and commissioning of 2 BTAP Rakes and 2 BVCM units. This order is categorized as a domestic transaction and is being executed at an arm’s length basis, ensuring standard corporate governance transparency.

Execution Timeline

The delivery schedule is structured to facilitate operational efficiency for the client. The project timeline is as follows:

  • 1st Rake (53 Wagons and 1 BVCM): To be executed within 6 months from the effective date.
  • 2nd Rake (53 Wagons and 1 BVCM): To be executed within 8 months from the effective date.

The effective date for the commencement of these activities is May 8, 2026. This project underlines Texmaco’s continued role in supporting the logistical infrastructure of India’s major industrial players.
