As confirmed on May 12, 2026, the company has received a Letter of Award (LOA) to provide rolling stock to a South African Train Operating Company (TOC). This project is central to the company’s broader objective of strengthening its presence across the African rail ecosystem.
Project Details and Scope
The contract, valued at upwards of INR 4,045 crores, encompasses the manufacturing and supply of more than 2,235 freight wagons across multiple variants, in addition to 30 diesel locomotives. Beyond the initial supply, the agreement features a long-term 15-year maintenance partnership. This lifecycle engagement is expected to provide stable, long-term business value while opening doors for future regional projects, including locomotive modernization, refurbishment, and infrastructure development.
