TD Power Systems: Reports 87% YoY Order Inflow Growth in Q1 FY’27

TD Power Systems Reports Strong Q1 FY’27 Performance

TD Power Systems has disclosed impressive financial highlights for the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q1 FY’27), marked by a substantial 87% year-over-year growth in order inflow. The total order inflow for the quarter reached ₹7,341 million, a significant increase from ₹3,918 million in the previous year’s comparable period.

Export Dominance and Order Book Strength

A key driver of this growth is the company’s strong international presence, with 93% of the Q1 FY’27 order inflow originating from exports. Export orders amounted to ₹6,836 million, compared to ₹2,573 million in Q1 FY’26. As of June 30, 2026, TD Power Systems maintained a healthy order book valued at ₹22,073 million, indicating strong future revenue streams.

Segment-wise Order Highlights

The company’s performance was bolstered by strong order intake across its various business segments:

  • Steam Turbine Generator Segment: Secured multiple orders from leading turbine OEMs in the steel, cement, and sugar industries, including international projects in Africa and the Middle East. Notable orders included those for Captive Power Plants (CPPs), featuring a 60 MW, 2-pole range generator. Export presence was strengthened with orders from European and US OEMs for USA energy-infrastructure projects.
  • Hydro Generator Segment: Achieved the segment’s largest order from a Domestic Hydro OEM for 4 x 16 MW vertical hydro generators for a major hydropower project in Africa. Additional orders were won from European and Domestic Hydro OEMs for projects in Europe and India.
  • Gas Engine Generator Segment: Received large-volume repeat orders from global OEMs for US data-center applications and a ~6 MW machine order for India’s largest LNG terminal.
  • Gas Turbine Segment: Secured significant volume orders from a major global gas-turbine OEM based in the USA, reinforcing long-term program visibility. A strong pipeline is also expected from a second major global OEM for US programs.

Financial Performance Overview (Q1 FY’27)

In addition to order inflow, the company reported strong financial metrics:

  • Total Revenue: Increased by 71% YoY to ₹6,401 million.
  • EBIDTA: Grew by 72% YoY to ₹1,217 million, representing a margin of 19.0%.
  • PAT (Profit After Tax): Saw a 72% YoY increase to ₹860 million, with a PAT margin of 13.5%.

These results reflect TD Power Systems’ strategic positioning and strong execution capabilities in meeting global demand for power generation equipment.
